Will.I.Am’s Album to be re-released
Back in September, B.E.P. producer Will.I.Am decided to follow in the footsteps of Fergie and release his own solo CD. Compared to Fergie’s “The Dutchess” (which is around 2x platinum), Will.I.Am’s CD was a huge flop and has sold less than 50,000 CDs to date.
Interscope is now planning to re-release Will’s album “Songs about girls” and are hoping a new single and 3 new tracks will help give Will a boost:
We went with the wrong single and it sold nothing. We would’ve been in better shape if we had pulled the album, because to relaunch it is harder.
I think this is so unfair that Will.I.Am is allowed another chance to sell his crappy album when most rap artists get one chance to sell then they are put on the shelf or forced to make radio songs they don't like to try and create a buzz for their album. This guy records bullshit sing-songy bland music out of choice and still can't get enough people to buy it.
It's quite funny though that Fergie is doing really well and she has the least talent and Will.I.Am who can actually play instruments and has produced some bangers recently (Nas' "Can't forget about you" & Talib Kweli's "Say Somethin") does badly.
Another sign that people will buy shit if it is marketed and presented right (Young Jeezy, Akon, Soujah Boy...need i continue)
The Game is fucked up right now
