It's all in the game yo

The greatest show of all time is finally over. To all my fellow Wire fiends out there I feel your pain let us start the mourning process. It will take a while but we will recover from this I promise you. A little eulogy before we leave it's only right

R.I.P to

Wallis
D'Angelo Barksdale
Stringer Bell
Frank Zabotga
Boadie
Prop Joe
Omar Little
Snoop

(notice i left a few off like "Cheese" & "Silvino" because let's face it they got what was coming to them)

All we can do now is speculate on how it would've played out had there been more seasons.
How well would Slim Charles and the rest of the co-op have handled their business now they have the direct link to the connect?
Would Marlo have really left the game behind completely?
Would young Michael have become the new Avon Barksdale and rose up through the ranks?
What kind of conversations would Wee bay and Chris Partlow have had while being the two main soldiers taking all the murder charges for both Avon & Marlo?

But we could be here all nite thinkin on that so im gonna just say that if anything The Wire has shown us about life is that things cannot be seen in just black and white. People do things for certain reasons or circumstances, the good guys are not always conducting themselves in the right fashion, sometimes you feel great admiration or compasion for the so called "villian" and end up siding with him in certain situations.Seeing things from both sides both points of view. Life is complex and for me The Wire is like a real glimpse into society as a whole and the problems that cannot simply be fixed by glossin over cracks like how the baltimore police, on orders from the major, have to chase stats to make it look like crime is decreasing when doing nothing really to solve the core problem. In season 3 Bonnie Colven sets up zones in which the dealers may operate without being hastled by the police and the cops can go and do as Bonnie puts it "proper police work". This was one of the most brilliant pieces of t.v ever in my mind and something that only a show like The Wire could produce. So many ill scenes so much stuff to think on truly addictive viewing if you don't know about The Wire (click here) I envy you because you get to discover it for the first time and trust me there is nothing like it.

Right now I'm still in the grieving process and find it hard to talk about it so im gonna just leave it there.

If you wish to show your love for The Wire you can go here to pay tribute
